Continuing the National Geographic blog series we first posted about last week, Russell Laman (Dr. Cheryl Knott and husband Tim Laman”s son) has written a blog about the long boat trip he and his family take to reach Cabang Panti, GPOP”s research station in the heart of Gunung Palung National Park. Spoiler alert: it definitely wasn’t a cruise ship experience! Traveling into the rainforest to research wild orangutans can be grueling and exhausting, but the rewards definitely make up for it.
